Description
The WCR C Tech 3D Junior is a mitten designed for young ski racers, and more broadly for children who need really warm hands. The back combines a ceramic shell and softshell, the palm mixes goatskin and silicone patches for a firm grip on the pole, and soft EVA inserts add protection. The SOFT-TEX membrane makes it waterproof, while the combination of Thinsulate and Hyperloft insulation keeps the warmth in. The Junior Race Fit and the Trigger system, which connects the hand to the pole, make it genuine racing equipment in a child’s size. Try it on in the shop with your child and collect it there.
Choosing your size
At LEKI, junior sizes are chosen by age: size 3 for 6 to 7 years, 4 for 8 to 9 years, 5 for 10 to 11 years, 6 for 12 to 13 years, 7 for 14 to 15 years; trying them on in the shop is still the safest option.
Neva’s advice
For children, mittens remain our first choice: the fingers warm each other and the hand stays warm on long chairlift rides.
