Neva Ski School · 2026/2027 season · effective 29 September 2026

Neva Ski School brings together two companies. Lessons are sold by R2S (Part 1). Equipment rental and the ski room are sold by RetE (Part 2). Booking and paying means you accept the terms of the relevant part. The French version prevails in case of any difference.

Part 1 · Ski and snowboard lessons

1. Provider

Neva Ski School is the trading name of R2S, a SARL with share capital of €3,000, registered office Les Jardins de Val, 99 route de la Balme, 73150 Val-d’Isère, France. RCS Chambéry 852 684 372 · SIRET 852 684 372 00034 · EU VAT number FR71 852 684 372.
Customer desk: 26 Place des Dolomites, 73150 Val-d’Isère · +33 (0)4 79 01 00 12 · info@neva.ski

2. Scope

These terms apply to ski and snowboard lessons: group lessons (6 students maximum) and private lessons, for all levels and ages, in the Val d’Isère-Tignes ski area.

3. Booking and payment

Each booking starts with a quote. Paying it before the lessons start confirms the booking. Until payment is received, the place is not guaranteed.

Prices are in euros, all taxes included. Payment is made online (secure Stripe platform) or by bank transfer. Lift passes are not included in the lesson price. For students of our Loupiot, Neva 1 and Neva 2 group lessons, Neva offers an optional 6-day ski school lift pass, subject to the lift operator’s conditions.

4. Level, groups and group size

The level given when booking is used for a first placement. The final group is confirmed on the first day, after the instructor’s assessment. Students can still change group during the week, depending on availability, so that everyone progresses at the right level.

A group lesson has 6 students at most, as a rule. To keep groups at the same level, Neva may adjust their make-up and, exceptionally, exceed this number. A group of fewer than 3 students may be cancelled or merged: Neva then offers a new date, a merged group, a smaller-group session, an equivalent private lesson, or a refund of the sessions concerned.

5. Helmet

A helmet is compulsory for every student in a group lesson. A student without a helmet cannot go out with the group. Helmets can be rented at our shop.

For private lessons, a helmet is strongly recommended, especially for children.

6. Cancellation or changes by the customer

All requests must be sent by email to info@neva.ski.

Notice before the first lessonRefund
More than 14 daysFull (excluding any payment fees)
Between 14 days and 48 hours50% of the amount
Less than 48 hours, or no-showNone

A missed session (late arrival, absence, early departure, injury or illness) remains payable and gives no right to a refund or a make-up session. We recommend cancellation insurance with the insurer of your choice.

7. Weather and snow conditions

Lessons go ahead as long as the ski lifts are running. In that case, no refund is due for weather, snow conditions or busy slopes. The instructor adapts the lesson and the area to the conditions of the day.

If a lesson cannot take place (lifts closed, safety conditions judged insufficient by the school, force majeure), Neva offers a new date or refunds the sessions not delivered. Neva’s liability is limited to the price of the services concerned.

8. Safety, insurance and liability

Skiing and snowboarding involve risks. Students, or their legal guardian for minors, follow the instructor’s instructions, the slope signage and the 10 FIS rules of conduct (International Ski Federation).

Customers are responsible for taking out third-party liability and personal accident insurance covering skiing and snowboarding. Neva is not liable for injury or damage occurring during the activity, unless a fault by the school or the instructor is proven.

9. Personal data

The data collected (identity, contact details, level, information needed for equipment, payment method) is used to deliver and manage the service. It is kept for the duration of the business relationship, then archived for 5 years for legal and accounting reasons. You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data (EU Regulation 2016/679 and French Data Protection Act), by email to info@neva.ski.

10. Complaints and mediation

Complaints can be made by phone (+33 (0)4 79 01 00 12) or by email (info@neva.ski). We reply within 14 days. If no amicable agreement is reached, customers may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator (articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code), after first sending a written complaint to Neva. R2S (school) and RetE (rental, ski room and shop) have appointed: Médiation Tourisme et Voyage (MTV), CS 30958, 75383 Paris Cedex 08, France, www.mtv.travel (online referral form).

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. If no amicable agreement is reached, any dispute falls under the courts of R2S’s registered office, unless mandatory legal provisions state otherwise.

Part 2 · Equipment rental and ski room

1. Rental company

Rental and the ski room are provided by RetE, a SARL with share capital of €20,000, registered office Les Jardins de Val, 99 route de la Balme, 73150 Val-d’Isère, France. RCS Chambéry 879 130 219 · SIRET 879 130 219 00030 · EU VAT number FR51 879 130 219.
Shop: 26 Place des Dolomites, 73150 Val-d’Isère · open every day from 8am to 6:30pm.

2. Scope and duration

The rental covers the equipment listed on the rental form (skis, snowboards, boots, helmets, accessories). The equipment remains Neva’s property. The rental runs from handover until the equipment is returned to the shop. Any day started is payable, whatever the weather or the opening of the ski area.

3. Prices and payment

Current prices are those shown in the shop and in our booking tools, all taxes included. A “school pack” price applies when a Neva lesson is booked alongside. Payment is made when booking online, or at the latest when the equipment is handed over: card, cash (within legal limits), chèques-vacances or bank transfer.

4. ID and deposit

Equipment is handed over on presentation of a valid ID. A deposit (card imprint or uncashed cheque) may be requested, up to the replacement value of the equipment. It is returned when the equipment comes back in good condition.

5. Settings and renter’s information

Bindings are set by our technicians according to the ISO 11088 standard, based on the information given by the renter: height, weight, shoe size, level and type of skiing. The renter checks this information at pick-up. Any false statement, or any change to the settings by the renter or a third party, releases Neva from all liability.

6. Condition and use of the equipment

Equipment is handed over checked and in good condition. Any reservation must be made at handover. The renter uses the equipment on marked, open slopes, does not lend or sublet it, does not leave it unattended, and follows the FIS rules. Unguided off-piste and freestyle on park features require the rental company’s prior agreement.

Helmet: compulsory for students in group lessons (see Part 1, article 5), strongly recommended for everyone else.

7. Return

Equipment must be returned to the shop at the date and time agreed. Returning it more than 30 minutes late means an extra day is charged. Equipment not returned 24 hours after the end of the rental is considered not returned and is charged at its new replacement value.

8. Breakage, theft and loss

Without the Serenity Guarantee, the renter is responsible for any breakage, theft or loss: they pay for the repair or, in case of loss or destruction, the new replacement value at public price. In case of theft, the renter informs Neva immediately and files a police report within 24 hours.

9. Serenity Guarantee (option)

Available at €2 per day per item. It covers repairable breakage from normal use. In case of total breakage, theft (with a police report) or loss, the renter pays a fixed contribution equal to 6 days of rental. Broken or lost pole: €5. This is a commercial commitment from Neva, not an insurance contract. Full terms are available in the shop.

10. Cancellation and refund

Notice before the rental startsRefund
More than 24 hoursFull
Less than 24 hours50% of the amount
After the rental has startedNone

No refund is due for early departure, injury, illness, weather, lack of snow or full or partial closure of the ski area.

11. Ski room

The ski room is a paid service open to everyone, whether or not you take lessons or rent equipment with Neva. You can leave your equipment at the shop during your stay and find it ready in the morning. The price is the one shown in the shop and on your quote. The same cancellation terms as for rental apply (article 10). Personal equipment left with us remains its owner’s responsibility outside the hours it is entrusted to the shop; Neva is not liable for normal wear or for items left in bags or boots.

12. Liability, personal data, complaints, governing law

Neva is not liable for damage linked to the use of rented equipment, unless a fault in its preparation or settings is proven. The renter takes out their own third-party liability and personal accident insurance. Articles 9 (personal data), 10 (complaints and mediation) and 11 (governing law) of Part 1 apply to rental and the ski room, with RetE in place of R2S.
