Description
The five-finger Army Leather Heli Ski was designed for ski guides in Western Canada, who needed a warm, reliable glove for long days in the cold. The goatskin palm gives grip and feel, and the three-layer polyamide back blocks the wind. The removable lining can be swapped if it gets damp or if conditions change. A wrist strap stops you dropping it from the chairlift, and the karabiner combined with the loop on the little finger lets you hang it upside down so no snow gets in. A durable classic, very comfortable to wear: try it on in store and collect it at the shop.
Choosing your size
Measure around your hand just below the knuckles, excluding the thumb, then check the Hestra size guide; for a ski glove, keep a little air space around the hand and, if you are between two sizes, take the larger one. The easiest way is still to try them on in store.
Neva’s advice
In very cold weather, slip a thin silk liner glove underneath: you will gain warmth without losing precision.
Collect at the Neva shop, 26 Place des Dolomites, Val d’Isère: your item will be waiting for you, prepared and adjusted, when you arrive.
