Description
Born for the ski guides of western Canada, the Army Leather Heli Ski in its three-finger version is aimed at skiers who want more warmth than a classic glove without giving up dexterity. The index finger stays free to grip a pole, a binding or a zip, while the other three fingers warm each other. The goatskin leather palm provides grip and feel, and the three-layer polyamide fabric back blocks the wind. The removable lining comes out to dry in the evening or can be swapped depending on conditions, and the long cuff with snow lock protects you on powder days. A tough model, built to last several seasons; try it on in store and collect it at the shop.
Choosing your size
Measure the circumference of your hand just below the knuckles, excluding the thumb, then refer to the Hestra size guide; for a ski glove, leave a little air space around the hand and, if you are between two sizes, take the larger one. The simplest option is still to try them on in the shop.
Neva’s advice
In the evening, take out the lining and dry both parts separately: you will set off the next day with warm hands from the very first lift.
Collect at the Neva shop, 26 Place des Dolomites, Val d’Isère: your item will be waiting for you, prepared and adjusted, when you arrive.
