Description
The Army Leather Extreme is among Hestra’s warmest models, with the maximum warmth rating. It is designed for intense cold and low-activity use, which also makes it a valuable ally for skiers who feel the cold and for mountain professionals. It features the hard-wearing goatskin palm of the Army Leather line, combined with a windproof, water-repellent stretch softshell and reinforced G-Loft insulation. The removable lining is easy to dry or wash, and the high cuff with snow lock can be adjusted with one hand. It has no waterproof membrane: this is a mitten for dry, extreme cold. Try it on in the shop and collect it there.
Choosing your size
Measure around your hand just below the knuckles, excluding the thumb, then refer to the Hestra size guide; for a ski glove, leave a little air space around the hand and, if you are between two sizes, choose the larger one. The simplest option is still to try them on in the shop.
Neva’s advice
Keep it for days of dry, extreme cold; in mild or damp weather, a model with a membrane will be better suited.
