The IDEA
You know Val d’Isère. You’ve done Tignes.
You want something else — not another hotel, not another week. A different playground.
The Neva Safari is designed for just that. You set up camp just once, in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, at a 4-star hotel. You unpack your bags just once. And every morning, the van picks you up to take you to a new resort. No road trips to organise. No bookings to juggle.
The same Neva instructor knows all five ski areas, from the first day to the last, speaks French and English, and guides you throughout the week: from the forests of Sainte-Foy to the Tignes glacier, via Italy for lunch from La Rosière. On the last day, we come full circle in Val d’Isère, the home of Neva.

You arrive Sunday, leave Saturday morning. In between, the sequence builds in intensity. We start gently to calibrate the group, cross into Italy mid-week, climb in altitude on Thursday, and come home on Friday.
Settle in.
Meet the team.
Your train arrives in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, a driver meets you at the station.
Transfer to the hotel, check-in, and you receive the Neva booklet (detailed programme, town restaurant recommendations tested by the team).
Early evening, your instructor drops by the hotel for a 30-minute briefing over a drink: introductions both ways, confirming the level and the week’s plan. Dinner is free in town — your choice.

The opening.
200 km of piste to find your rhythm.
The funicular from Bourg-Saint-Maurice reaches Les Arcs in 7 minutes. We start here, gently — the instructor observes, the group finds its pace, the skis get fine-tuned. Lunch at altitude in Arc 2000, with a view of Mont Blanc. Foundations for the week, no rush.

We have lunch in Italy.
156 km of French-Italian slopes.
We head up the French side in the morning, cross the pass into La Thuile on the Italian side, have lunch with polenta and a glass of Nebbiolo.
Back to France early afternoon. The widest day of the safari — generous pistes, memorable food.

The quiet one.
Trees, powder, silence.
The hidden gem of the Tarentaise. A village built of stone and slate, a resort modest in size but vast in terms of terrain.
The best accessible off-piste runs in the region, often untouched three days after a snowfall. This is the highlight of the ski tour.
We slow down, take a breather, and ski through the trees.

Altitude.
The Grande Motte glacier.
The cable car goes up to 3,456 metres. From there, 300 km of pistes fan out below.
The most demanding day of the safari — varied terrain, long runs, a high-altitude lunch stop.
Late afternoon, video debrief: the instructor films, and we watch it together at the hotel bar in the evening.

Home.
We close the loop.
Welcome at the Neva shop, 26 Place des Dolomites, right on the snow front. You collect the skis you already know, and set off for a final tour of the Espace Killy with an instructor on home ground.
Lunch at a signature mountain restaurant, selected by Neva from our favourite Val d’Isère addresses.
Back to the shop late afternoon for the group photo and the Neva Safari badge — limited edition, numbered by session, handed only to those who complete the safari.

Tell us your dates, your group, your level. We build your quote within 48 hours, and schedule a call with your instructor before confirmation.
Solid intermediate minimum. You should be comfortable on red runs in all conditions, able to ski a full day without excessive fatigue, and at ease with mellow off-piste. A level questionnaire is sent at booking, followed by a 15-minute call with your instructor before confirmation. For mixed format, groups are built by level — no beginner / expert mix.
Your instructor can swap one resort for another for safety or snow-quality reasons. It’s their call — they know all 5 areas and where the snow will be best. In case of a full resort closure (rare), a free ski day is offered at the replacement resort.
For private tours, yes—the order of the stops can be adjusted, and a day off can be added. Tell us what you want, and we’ll make it happen. For group tours, the itinerary is fixed.
Yes. If your group mixes ski and snowboard, we assign an instructor fluent in both — all Neva safari instructors are trained in both disciplines. For a full snowboard group, we adapt the equipment and, on request, assign a specialist instructor.
Bourg-Saint-Maurice is a real valley town, not a resort — around fifteen open restaurants, bars, a cinema. On arrival we hand you a booklet of addresses tested by the team. After a day skiing, most groups prefer a good meal in town to the buzz of an altitude resort. Your instructor joins you for dinner at least once during the week — beyond that, they stay available depending on your preference.
